I was referred to Chris Rix, from Rix Realty, to create a logo to be used for the historic Hot Springs, Arkansas Central Theatre promotional material. Chris wanted this logo to be as close to a 1:1 representation of the marquee outside of the Central Theatre because of how recognizable the exterior of this historic theatre was in downtown Hot Springs, Arkansas.

I used online images for reference for the illuminated neon lights on the marquee, and I used my own reference photos for a high quality straight on reference images. When I created this logo, the most important task was to make sure these lights felt like neon lights. In order to do that, I made sure to add a glow effect to the neon lights and the other lights surrounding the marquee.

The client was very happy with the result and now uses this promotional logo design on every advertising flyer.
