My name is Jacob Miles, and I'm an image and motion graphic designer with a background in video production.
I attended the University of Central Arkansas focusing on art and filmmaking. During this time, I learned how to divert my artistic skills into the Adobe Suite by creating art, graphic designs, and motion graphics using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. This led me into taking freelance jobs where I designed logos, banners, and created videos for websites and social media pages. In addition to my artistic endeavors, I discovered a new interest in filmmaking. I learned to edit in Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer, and trained further in Adobe Premiere. I worked on feature films, documentaries, and multiple award winning short films.
After graduating with a B.A. in Digital Filmmaking and a minor in the Visual Arts, I continued freelancing in graphic design and videography, which included illustrating a children’s book titled “Baby the Freeway Bird Goes to Hollywood.” This path led me to Oriental Trading Company as a Graphic Designer for print and digital media where I have broadened my Adobe knowledge to InDesign. In my spare time, I have taken on multiple freelance jobs at Prairie Nation Creative which include creating image and motion graphics for companies of all sizes in addition to video production.
